Our Emergency Department is staffed and equipped to care for over 40,000 patients a year ranging from newborn to end of life. Our metropolitan ED provides high quality care to a wide variety of patients, including adult and pediatric patients from the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute and the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Additionally, MedStar Georgetown is accredited by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and receives acute stroke patients from all around the DC region. Georgetown's Emergency Department prides itself on its teamwork, collaborative governance and decision making which creates and implements new ideas centered on evidenced based practice.
Schedule:
- Full-time, 36hr/week, 3 - 12hr shifts/week, 1:00pm to 1:30am
General Summary of Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered acute nursing care to individuals with a variety of medical issues. The LPN as a collaborative team member in partnership with and under the supervision of the registered nurse.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing, required
- Must be quantifiable (i.e. minimum of one (1) year experience within an acute setting).
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure in the District of Columbia required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days require

USD $23.33 - USD $37.82 /Hr.
