Job Summary:

Join MedStar Health as an Office Assistant, where you'll play a key role in supporting patients, clinical staff, and daily department operations. As a valued member of the care team, you'll assist with patient registration, scheduling, insurance coordination, and front-office support—all while ensuring every patient has a positive, seamless experience from check-in to check-out.

Primary Duties:

  • Greet and assist patients both in person and by phone, providing exceptional customer service.

  • Register and schedule patients accurately, verify insurance, and manage co-payments.

  • Support clinical staff by preparing rooms, maintaining supplies, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Process and track patient information, authorizations, and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as billing support, report preparation, and maintaining organized records.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.

  • Experience: 2 or more years of customer service experience required; prior experience in a medical office or outpatient setting preferred.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills; ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.


This position has a hiring range of

USD $18.00 - USD $29.74 /Hr.
