General Summary of Position
Provides analytical support to VP of Operations and management team. Manages pre-arrival team effectively by ensuring all office locations' pre-arrival alerts are reviewed and worked prior to patient arrival.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
- Acts as a liaison and communicator between Pre-Arrival Unit and Clinical Managers/Offices.
- Assists with the development and implementation of training materials and programs for physicians and staff regarding new and revised services and programs.
- Establishes and maintains a regulatory/compliance environment by following organizational policy and procedures and ensures that mandatory training programs are effectively implemented to ensure compliance to state local and federal standards and regulations.
- Maintains current knowledge of health care issues standards of practice CPT/ICD-10 codes and professional group activities to facilitate effective planning/management.
- Manages and develops employees by delivering effective and timely coaching and counseling sessions with direction from Human Resources and Director of Operations and by following established policies and procedures to increase productivity increase retention reduce turnover in order to create a cohesive and productive working environment which corresponds with the practice's goal of high-quality care and service.
- Manages and directs daily operations of the Pre-Arrival Verification/ Authorization Unit by actively problem solving and communicating essential data to staff to assure services are effectively rendered in an efficient working environment.
- Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate. Participates in training classes for quality and safety infection control OSHA EMR CPR TJC safety compliance and others as required.
- Participates in the billing performance of the organization by reviewing and implementing fee tickets coding and PQRI processes to ensure maximum reimbursement of rendered services and achieve established benchmarks.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Promotes CA by interacting with patients, physicians, referring physician offices, payors, and vendors by providing information on services and programs in a positive and professional manner to maintain and improve the success of CA.
- Provides support for the financial and operational performance of the organization by preparing relevant financial reports evaluating work RVU activity reviewing budget variances and evaluating referral patterns to achieve best practice benchmarks and ensure operational viability.
- Provides support to VP of Operations and management team by performing comprehensive data analysis and interpretation utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Synthesizes findings into clear and concise documentation to address operational matters as directed to ensure practice goals and objectives are met resulting in quality care and optimum performance.
- Reviews operational processes and systems. Develops and implements recommendations for improvement and/or purchase to satisfy the needs of the practice.
- Selects orients and trains staff to ensure practice goals and objectives are met resulting in quality care and optimum performance.
Minimal Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Health Administration required
- Master's degree preferred
Experience
- 1-2 years 2 years experience in a health care setting required and
- 1-2 years 2 years in a supervisory level position required and
- Knowledge of medical terminology knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes and experience working with physicians preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- No special certification registration or licensure required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated organizational problem-solving interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel PowerPoint Word) required.

USD $65,062.00 - USD $117,291.00 /Yr.
