About the Job

MedStar Medical Group offers a rewarding career with a unique and diverse patient population. Become part of an organization that welcomes your experience, input, and leadership—as a clinician and healthcare expert.

We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, a community teaching hospital in northern Baltimore. APPs are essential members of the interdisciplinary rehab team, ensuring high-quality medical oversight for our patients. We provide specialized acute rehabilitation services —utilizing the latest advances in technology and research—to deliver the intense, coordinated therapy patients need to regain their highest level of independence following life-altering injuries and illnesses.

Role & Responsibilities:

This role is primarily inpatient-focused with dual responsibilities across MedStar North:

  • 50% Coverage: Providing primary inpatient coverage for our Comprehensive, Interdisciplinary Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (CIIRP) at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. The APP will be responsible for co-managing patients' acute medical and rehabilitation needs with a physician colleague in the inpatient setting, including overseeing hospital discharges.

  • 50% Coverage: Providing PM&R consults at other MedStar North Hospitals, primarily MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. This role will involve providing inpatient consults for patients with a variety of conditions including neurologic disorders, orthopedic injuries, and limb amputations. The APP will work autonomously while maintaining close collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
