Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Intern will be responsible for performing in the role of a Pharmacy Technician, assisting a pharmacist carry out his or her responsibilities, and participating in special administrative or clinical projects as assigned. He or she will perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and must be accepted to or attending an accredited College of Pharmacy. He or she must remain enrolled in good standing as a Pharmacy student.
- Licensure: Registered in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern or as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Other: a. Demonstrate positive work ethic with solid leadership traits. b. Able to work accurately and quickly under pressure. c. Able to precisely follow instructions and ability to focus on details. d. Demonstrate reasonable computer and keyboarding skills. e. Able to work independently and complete required tasks accurately and timely. f. A caring, friendly, and professional approach is expected in all communications with patients, families, visitors and other employees. He or she must be flexible to adjust to changing conditions or detail of the job and different shifts or positions as required.
- Preferred Experience: Previous work experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required.
