Dedicated Orientation Unit Overview:

 

Are you interested in continuing your nursing career in an innovative educational environment, while making an impact on new Mercy caregivers? If you're looking to maximize your earning potential all while having more hands to share the workload- this position is for you!

 

The new Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Dedicated Orientation Unit is an 18-bed unit focused on teaching eager newly hired Mercy caregivers the fundamental skills necessary to be successful. We are looking to build a team of highly engaged nurses who have a passion for education, patient care, and best practices. This unit will care for Medical Telemetry patients with a 6:1 patient to nurse ratio. Each nurse will act as a preceptor to two newly hired Mercy caregivers. By joining the Dedicated Orientation Unit at Mercy, you will have a direct impact on the future of nursing, while progressing your leadership skillset for YOUR future in nursing!

 

Clinical Supervisor Overview:

 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team and lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care. In this role, you will ensure efficient staffing and resource utilization to meet productivity and financial goals, while collaborating closely with physicians, administrative personnel, and co-workers to improve care processes across the continuum. You will play a key role in managing patient flow and bed availability in partnership with the Staffing Office. As a leader, you will inspire a shared vision, model professional standards, and foster a culture of positive change. You'll mentor and support staff, encouraging leadership and innovation, while recognizing and celebrating their contributions through servant leadership. The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for holding care providers accountable to professional standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines, and will participate in staff evaluations in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. This position requires a commitment to excellence and a strong alignment with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: BSN or have a BSN within three (3) years of job acceptance.
  • Licensure: Current RN license with the Board of Nursing in the applicable State of practice.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
  • Certification/Registration: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probation period. TNCC, ACLS and ENPC or PALS.
  • Skills, knowledge and abilities: Demonstrates skills in human relations and communication, written verbal, and electronic. Demonstrates clinical competence in patient care delivery. Possesses the ability to assess data and assist personnel in providing appropriate level of care. Performs responsibilities while fulfilling the Philosophy of skills, knowledge and abilities.
