This position will include the following schedule:
6:30a-2:30p, 6:45a-2:45p, occasional mid-day shift or evening shift
Rotating weekends and holidays are required
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Telephone or customer service experience beneficial.
Other:
o Basic computer and keyboarding skills
o Must be able to navigate multiple computer software systems simultaneously
o Ability to communicate clearly in English both orally and written
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Details of position:
- Needs to be comfortable using different programs (MediCall/operator console, Everbridge/mass notification system, Excel, etc.) and multitasking.
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Scope of responsibilities:
- answer/transfer calls
- page/call physicians
- take consults
- answering service afterhours
- page out codes and alerts
- manage hospitalists admissions rotations
- monitor fire panel, HUGS system, weather band & med gas alarms
- Assists in maintaining and updating on-call schedules with support from clinics and departments.
- Ability to work in a stationary role for an extended period of time.
- Mostly daytime position but may include mid or evening shifts as needed for coverage.
- Rotates every other weekend and holiday.
