Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the utilities equipment within the facilities. This would include, but is not limited to: chillers, pumps, motors, compressors, boilers, medical vacuum, medical air, medical gases, HVAC systems, electrical generators and fire control systems. Responsible for coordinating preventative maintenance schedules and Missouri State related certifications. Perform skilled tasks in the areas of plumbing, electrical, maintenance, carpentry and design. Available for scheduled “call-back”. Also assists in the removal of ice/snow and perform a variety of duties in and around building and grounds. Will assist in Security situations during scheduled shift. Performs related duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure: Must have a valid Missouri “Class E” operator's license.
Experience: Two to four years prior experience in related field.
Other: Must be able to perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance area, related to preventative maintenance and repair, with efficiency. Must have a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Must have working knowledge of computerized controls, software and the ability to read blueprints. Understand governing standards and regulations such as Missouri State, NFPA, and JCAHO. Must be able to professionally communicate with staff and visitors.
