Assists patients seeking alternative financing and/or assistance; provides support to patients completing and filing financial statements, Medicaid and other federal program applications. Provides patient education of financial policies; provides ongoing support for Point-of-Service initiatives: focuses on uninsured, underinsured and credit risk patients. Document actions taken, answers patient inquiries, and researches problem accounts. Is a positive role model for other coworkers and provides excellent customer service at all times to both internal and external customers. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
