Find your calling at Mercy! We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a growing neurosurgery clinic alongside a seasoned physician. The MA will play a key role in supporting both patient care and clinic operations. Position Details:
Medical Assistant - Mercy Clinic Neurosurgery
10012 Kennerly Road, Suite 400
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
Qualifications
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Experience: One year of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical and medication histories
Preparing patients for exams and assisting with provider evaluations and procedures
Performing basic diagnostic testing as appropriate and documenting care accurately
Reinforcing provider‑directed patient education
Maintaining clean, well‑stocked exam rooms and adhering to safety and infection‑prevention standards
Assisting with scheduling tests, referrals, follow‑ups, and supporting front‑office operations
Participating in quality initiatives, staff meetings, and other MA‑related duties
