The Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Lead performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, mostly nuclear medicine imaging, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities also include serving as lead when direct leadership is unavailable, coordinating daily work assignments and assisting in training. The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist requires proficiency and thorough understanding of operating imaging equipment and procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining imaging standards. Exciting New Incentives:Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000*
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and required clinical hours have been completed.
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certification/Registration: NMTCB or ARRT (N); Basic Life Support (BLS)

Through knowledge and understanding of biohazard safety and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations
Thorough knowledge and understanding of proper radiation safety by following ALARA standards
Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage schedules, and coordinate daily operations.
Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
Thorough understanding of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
