Description

Find your calling at Mercy! Directly reports to the Imaging Services Nuclear Medicine manager and Medical Director(s) of the Department of Nuclear Medicine. Responsible for assessing patient's condition, evaluating exam appropriateness and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients. Additional responsibilities include analyzing computer acquired data, archiving images to PACS, performing quality control for all equipment, and adhering to radiation safety standards. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree. Graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine training program is required.

Experience: 7 years of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech in a hospital-based setting.

Certification/Registration: Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear (RT-N).

Other skills & knowledge: Excellent communicator in written and verbal format; ability to handle complex situations; strong team player.
