The RN will provide competent care to patients in the following settings: Med Surg, Ortho, Cardiac, Cardiac Neuro, PCU, and Critical Care areas. The RN will float to each department as needed.   Position Details:

Registered Nurse – Regional Resource/Float Pool

Serving Fort Smith, Booneville, Ozark and Paris

Full-Time (36/hour per week)

Mercy is seeking an experienced and compassionate Regional Resource Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool, in the River Valley area supporting units across our Fort Smith, Bonneville, Ozark, and Paris locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys caring for a diverse adult/geriatric population.

As part of our Regional Resource team, you'll bring your expertise where it's needed most—providing high-quality, patient-centered care while experiencing the variety and professional growth that comes with floating between facilities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Deliver competent, compassionate nursing care to patients

  • Float to the following clinical areas as needed:

    • Med Surg

    • Orthopedics

    • Cardiac

    • Cardiac Neuro

    • Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

    • Critical Care

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes

  • Serve as a resource to unit staff by sharing skills, clinical knowledge, and best practices

  • Adapt quickly to varying workflows, patient needs, and unit requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Arkansas RN license

  • Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, with at least 6 months within the past year.

  • BLS certification (must be current)

  • ACLS & NIHSS – required within 90 days of hire

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
