The RN Clinical Supervisor leads the GI Lab team to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care. This role oversees daily operations, staffing, patient flow, quality initiatives, and staff development while collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and supervision for GI nursing staff.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care delivery.
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
- Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members.
- Promote staff engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to improve processes and outcomes.
- Support quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
- Address patient, family, and staff concern professionally and effectively.
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
- Minimum 3 years of GI nursing experience.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Previous leadership or management experience.
- Nursing specialty certification.
- Change management experience.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., and other unit-specific certifications.
