Position is located at Mercy Hospital South. 


Overview:

This licensed healthcare clinician has responsibility and accountability for the leadership and oversight for the Spine & Pain program. This position has responsibility for the organization, development, planning, management and evaluation of these programs. This person will facilitate teamwork between all members of the care team within these programs in order to achieve desired patient outcomes, exceptional patient experience, and overall program performance. This position reports to the Director of Rehab and Neurodiagnostic Services.

 

Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in nursing, Health Science, Public Health, Physical or Occupational Therapy, Health Care Administration, or related field and 3 years' experience in a spine and/or pain services setting.  Master's and/or doctoral degree in nursing, Health Science, Public Health, Physical or Occupational Therapy, Health Care Administration, or related field and 1 year of experience in a spine and/or pain services setting may be substituted for Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience

Licensure:

Valid Missouri licensed healthcare professional (RN, NP, PA, PT, OT).

  1. Must be comfortable and skilled at working with physicians, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders in the organization
  2. Demonstrate ability to handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure.
  3. Must be able to function independently
  4. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills
  5. Recognized personal responsibility in striving for innovative healthcare delivery that meets contemporary needs and assumes leadership in negotiating for changes in health care.
  6. Must have knowledge of the medical community and familiarity with hospital operations.
