Description
Find your calling at Mercy! Under the general supervision of the Manager/Director coordinates the flow of work in the hospital. Upon the request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary disease and or illness. Demonstrates clinical expertise for adult, pediatric patients. Also demonstrates clinical and technical expertise with respiratory equipment used in the adult ICU, general floor, emergency department and Family Birthplace. Ensures that all prescribed therapy is completed, charted and given in accordance with departmental policy and procedures. Provides in-service education, shift meetings and current updated policy and procedure guidelines for the Respiratory Care staff members. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision and values of Mercy. Position Details:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
Licensure: Maintains current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
Experience:
Certifications: Holds a credential from the NBRC. Registered Respiratory Therapist. CPR certification. May substitute RRT with 10 years of leadership experience and Certified as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the NBRC.
