Description
Find your calling at Mercy! This role owns AI Automation as an execution capability, workflow redesign, governed tool access, and production operations of automations and agents. It does not own enterprise AI model development, analytics, or all digital product delivery, but it partners closely with those teams to turn insights into executed work. Position Details:
Required qualifications
• Senior leadership experience building and leading cross-functional teams delivering automation, software products, platforms, or workflow transformation at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to redesign processes, not just improve them, including end-to-end ownership from discovery through adoption.
• Strong engineering leadership credibility, including partnering with architects, managing engineering managers, and operating production services with reliability and accountability.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous operational problems into structured, testable, governable solutions, including clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience working in or adjacent to regulated environments, with comfort partnering closely with security, compliance, and clinical governance.
Preferred qualifications
• Experience in healthcare operations, clinical operations, revenue cycle, workforce management, or other complex, high-velocity operational domains.
• Experience with modern AI-enabled automation, including human-in-the-loop decision design, risk tiering, auditability, and safe execution patterns.
• Familiarity with building governed integration layers and reusable capability catalogs, including schema standards, lifecycle management, and platform enablement models.
• Strong change leadership, including stakeholder mapping, training strategies, communications planning, and adoption measurement.
