The Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease at Mercy (IDHLD) is seeking a motivated and talented 1-Year Motility Fellow to join our dynamic team in the Summer of 2024. This fellowship program offers a unique opportunity for hands-on training and research in the field of gastrointestinal motility disorders. The position is available to both non-accredited and ACGME-accredited fellows.
The fellow will participate in a focused and intensive fellowship program aimed at providing comprehensive training in motility disorders. This position offers the chance to work closely with experienced faculty members, access state-of-the-art facilities, and contribute to ongoing research efforts in the field.

Visa Waiver Available: Mercy can support immigration processing for an H1B visa submission.

The IDHLD also includes the following facilities and programs:

• High demand motility practice as the only comprehensive, clinically accessible practice in the region
• ACGME accredited GI Fellowship Program - Affiliated with University of Maryland
• Teaching affiliation with the University of Maryland School of Medicine
• State-of-the-Art Endoscopy Unit
• Well run clinical research unit with a statistician with opportunities for clinical trials
• Highly collegial, 13-physician, group comprised of general GIs, hepatologists, advanced endoscopists (capable of POEM, ESD), IBD-specialists, motility specialist, and a colorectal surgeon.
• Established colorectal surgery and bariatric program

• Completion of ACGME residency training in internal medicine
• Must possess or eligible to possess a state of Maryland physician license
