Full-time, Hybrid (virtual and outpatient visits)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Certified Nurse Practitioner (PCNP) to join our mental health team to help with outpatient visits both virtually through our Meritus Now platform and in-person. The PCNP will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of psychiatric conditions, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Current and valid state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a psychiatric/mental health setting preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments on adult patients, mental health and substance use disorder.
• Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including monitoring for side effects and efficacy.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including maintaining accurate and timely patient records.
• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities to stay current with best practices in psychiatric care.
