Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Technical Writer to support a Federal Government client at our Southern Maryland location.  The Technical Writer will perform technical writing duties for a variety of Federal Government related programs with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
• Ability to coordinate and communicate with engineers, technicians, and management to produce high-quality documentation for customers
• Responsible for documenting deliverables, including but not limited to:  requirements specifications, design documents, test plans/procedures/reports, scientific and technical reports, technical data packages, user manuals, operations and maintenance manuals, training materials, project briefings, and management plans

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism or Technical Writing
• 4 years Technical Writing experience, 7 years desired
• 2 years of experience editing, preparing, and producing technical manuals, specifications, military standards, and other technical reports and documentation, 7 years desired
• 2 years of experience preparing original technical manuals, reports, and other technical documentation on the operation, maintenance, installation, and testing of electronic equipment
• Familiarity with military standards and specifications governing the preparation of technical documentation
• Efficiency in MS Word

Desired Qualifications
• Efficiency in Adobe Acrobat software
• Knowledge of computer graphics software and VISIO
• Military experience

BA/BS
