Job Description:
Position Summary
Under the leadership of Montage Health Chief Financial Officer, the department director carries out the strategy and vision for Business Development that supports Montage Health's strategic plan, quality commitment, and values while complying with hospital policies/procedures and applicable laws and standards.
The director is responsible and accountable for overall management of the department to include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of services delivered to ensure all department services exceed internal and external customer expectations. The director monitors industry trends for opportunities and helps develop business strategies/cases for existing and new programs/services. Director oversees the overall performance of the destination care program; the regional onsite corporate wellness program; employer/broker outreach and relationship management; the physician liaison program to include the sales/relationship management of Epic Connect practices; and the decision support program to ensure the cost accounting system and resources meet the ongoing needs of various organizational users.
The director develops and mentors a high-performing team for all areas of responsibility through practice of excellent employee relations, attention to employee needs (including fostering effective working relationships training, developing/coaching and evaluating), performance improvement initiatives, a collaborative environment, and initiating personnel actions, when necessary, in accordance with Human Resource policies and organization philosophy. The director ensures financial viability by managing both applicable revenue and expenses with attention to cost management, productivity in assigned cost centers, and tactical execution of Lean concepts.
Experience
At least seven years of health care management experience with a minimum of 4 years staff management experience in an acute care hospital, health system, or comparable health setting.
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or health administrative management. Master's degree is preferred.
