NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Benefits and Wellness Specialist based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office. The Benefits and Wellness Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily administration of employee benefits and wellness programs. This role provides essential assistance to the Benefits and Wellness team, ensuring smooth operations, excellent employee communication, and effective coordination of wellness events and benefit initiatives. 

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Organizes and executes company wellness activities such as the annual Preventive Services Incentive, Health Fair, flu shot clinics, and 5K sponsorships. Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, securing donations, managing space and logistics, preparing printed and digital materials, overseeing employee giveaways, and ensuring a positive and engaging employee experience. 
  • Primary liaison with the company's wellness vendor, Wellable, to coordinate and promote ongoing wellness challenges and initiatives.
  • Benefits and Wellness Communications - Creating and distributing clear, professional communications about benefits and wellness programs through channels such as the company intranet, email announcements, newsletters, employee TV, and social media. Collaborates with internal partners to ensure the Inside Track platform remains up to date with accurate and engaging content.
  • Maintains the annual Benefits and Wellness calendar for the department, tracks and manages inventory for employee event merchandise, and ensures all counts and orders are current. 
  • Scheduling and coordinating quarterly and ad hoc 401(k) meetings. 
  • Assisting with document retention and filing to ensure compliance with the company's Document Retention Policy. Additional responsibilities include pulling termination files, organizing historical documents, and supporting general administrative needs within the department.
  • Maintaining the department's budget spreadsheet, ensuring that all financial information is accurate and up to date. 
  • Processes Wellness invoices, codes, and submits them to Accounting.
  • Submission of new vendor contracts to the Legal department, follow-up on approvals, and maintain records of executed agreements.
  • Serves as a backup for claims funding, employee leaves, and workers' compensation processes.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audits to verify benefit plan accuracy and compliance, and they help with large and small-scale mailings and employee distributions. Maintaining confidentiality in all benefits-related matters is essential. 
  • Communicates promptly with the Senior Manager of Benefits and Wellness regarding any issues or concerns and provides consistent administrative support to the Benefits team, Managing Director, and Vice President as needed. They also serve as a backup to other team members within the department.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
