The Glen hosts a diverse portfolio of premier sports car, open wheel and stock car races throughout the year.
Summary:
The Event Experience Specialist is responsible for assisting the Special Events Department in the strategic development and implementation of new and existing major events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Special Events Department in all areas of event planning and event activation
- Support the Coordinator, Special Events with event responsibilities
- Collaborate with other departments prior to and during event execution
- Assist with all Fan Experience activations including pre-race, Victory Lane, driver appearances, NASCAR Kids Zone, and concerts
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate's degree or 2+ years into bachelor's degree: Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends as required
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills; the ability to work effectively with staff and volunteers; display superior judgement and diplomatic skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment to excellence, self-motivation, and professionalism; Must be highly organized and detail oriented
- The ability to handle multiple tasks with organization and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet research, and experience working with databases
