What you will do:
The IT Support Specialist I provides frontline technical support to NewStream employees, helping resolve IT issues and ensuring a smooth, reliable technology experience. This role supports daily operations by troubleshooting problems, assisting with installations, maintaining secure systems, and offering user training. The position plays an important part in keeping our technology running efficiently and supporting SRC's employee‑owned culture by ensuring employees have the tools they need to succeed.
Some key responsibilities for the IT Support Specialist I:
- Actively participate in the principals of Great Game of Business and Open-Book Management.
- Support employee training initiatives that are user-friendly and help employees effectively use and adopt company technology.
- Manage Help Desk tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Set up computer systems and perhiperals for employees, including cabling, printers, tablets, and required software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, including cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and internal procedures.
- Recommend improvements to systems, processes, and overall IT reliability.
- Execute and support projects while providing consistent updates to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications Preferred:
- Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems, PC/Network Administration, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, IP addressing, subnetting, etc.).
- Familiarity with command-line tools and Windows troubleshooting utilities.
- Experience supporting endpoint and email security platforms, print management systems, phone configurations, and end-user hardware including computers, printers, and phones.
