The Supervisor, Bill Processing is responsible for leading and directing the Bill Processing (BP) team, ensuring the timely and accurate auditing and processing of medical bills, meeting all regulatory timeframes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct bill processing team to ensure timely turnaround and accurate adjudication of medical bills
- Monitor workloads, productivity and quality to maximize operational effectiveness and to ensure timely, effective and efficient processing of medical bills.
- Utilize reports to track and trend data, improve team efficiency, identify problem areas and offer recommendations as needed
- Instruct and counsel team members on new regulations, processes, procedures and responsibilities. Possess a thorough working knowledge of PIP/WC systems, applications and processes
- Hold staff accountable for producing quality work. Clearly communicate expectations and assist employees to understand the organizational objectives and standards.
- Provide leadership to assigned staff including regular coaching and feedback, development and proactive performance management. Maintain accurate and complete records on employee performance and conduct annual employee performance evaluations.
- Actively participate in various departmental projects including executing on assigned deliverables, assisting in the determination of resources, managing milestones, and communicating statuses of assigned projects to MCS Bill Processing Management and impacted staff.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year experience as a Team Leader or comparable experience preferred
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Auto Medical
- Knowledge of medical auditing logic, out of state knowledge a plus
- Ability to think conceptually, use problem solving skills, be decisive and provide reasoning behind decisions
- Strong organization and task prioritization skills
- Detail-oriented, strong decision making, and analytical skills
- Displays initiative, motivates staff and fosters teamwork

- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range: $70,444-$81,849Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave.
