At NorthBay Health the Physician Assistant (PA) – within the Heart and Vascular Center program is accountable for functions which enhance the delivery of patient care in accordance with education, role modeling, standards development, quality improvement, program development and coordination and other duties assigned by the Practice Manager and/or Supervising Physician. The PA works in collaboration with physicians, directors, clinical managers, clinical practice managers and other AHP positions. This position's role is to promote the provision of effective, high quality patient care to all patients.
PA to support clinic hours and patients.
This position is a licensed physician assistant (PA) and functions as a member of the multidisciplinary medical management team. The AHP diagnoses medical conditions, plans and implements interventions, and evaluates patient responses under the direction of and in collaboration with a supervising physicians and/or designated attending physician. Patient care provided in the clinic shall account for approximately 70% of job duties. If clinic hours allow, 30% of weekly hours, may be spent caring for patients in the hospital setting at the direction of the supervising physician(s).

Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program approved by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Licensure/Credentials: Current Physician Assistant licensure by the State of California Physician Assistant Examining Committee. Physician Assistant Certification, AHA or equivalent CPR required. Maintains a current DEA license for schedule II drugs. ACLS preferred and must have within 3 months.
- Experience: No experience required outside of accredited training program.
- Skills: Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient's physical and emotional status. Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs. Demonstrates current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: adult, adolescent, pediatric and geriatric. Ability to use computer, MS Word, Outlook, telephone. Knowledge of Cerner preferred.

- Compensation: $85.43 - $103.82 ( Max rate commensurate of 20+ years PA experience)
