Description
At NorthBay Health the Surgical Technologist I is a novice Technologist who is a recent graduate of a surgical tech program or a Surgical Technician with no acute care experience. The Surgical Technologist I works as a team member with the primary function as the “scrub person” in the surgical suite and other clinical areas.
The Surgical Technologist I will be trained upon hire at NorthBay Healthcare by a Surgical Technologist preceptor. Length of orientation will be determined on an individual basis on the premise that all orientation skills and checklists will be complete to move towards independent work practice in performing non specialized.

Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of Approved Surgical Technologist program required.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current certification in basic CPR through American Heart Association.
Experience:
- Entry level for new graduates of Surgical Technology.
- Entry level for an acute care setting.
Skills:
- Must demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, safe use and care of surgical instruments and equipment. Basic windows computer skills required.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Good communication skills; works as a team member.

Compensation:
Hourly Salary Range Min $47.01- Max $57.19 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
