Description

Will perform administrative duties 20 hours per week for the office of Institutional Grants and Compliance and 20 hours per week for Training and Development.

For the office of Institutional Grants and Compliance, this position will assist with management of Perkins and other grant-funded programs that serve students from special populations. Program support duties may include tracking expenses, activities, and progress of projects within the department that supports students from special populations. Special populations include, but are not limited to single parents, economically disadvantaged families, students in fields of study that are non-traditional for their gender, out-of-workforce individuals, homeless individuals, and youth who are in or aged out of the foster care system.

For Training and Development, this position will perform skilled level administrative and bookkeeping duties. This includes assisting with maintaining databases, payments, correspondence, managing phone, email, and walk-in clients. This position works with students, staff, faculty, and general public as well as business and industry clients.

Position Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

Work Experience:
Minimum of one year of accounting, budget, grants, or related experience to include data entry and record keeping responsibility.

Related work experience and a strong interest in providing high quality administrative support.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately.

Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to a multicultural environment in an effort to work and communicate effectively with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.

High degree of initiative to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.

Detail oriented, organized, and possesses strong analytical skills.

Willingness to learn new programs, software, and applications continuously.

Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.

Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.

Education:
Associates degree and/or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience working in higher education.
Minimum of one year of experience tracking and organizing program information.
