Position: Full-Time Security Guard
Site: Brockville General Hospital - 75 Charles
Hours: Continental Rotation - 0700-1900/1900-0700
Payrate: $21.69/hour
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Brockville General is a leading member of the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Ontario Health Team. A partnership of over 50 health, community and social service organizations from across the Counties of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville. Funded by the Government of Ontario, we are working to improve healthcare for everyone in our region.
Job Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment with maintaining the utmost professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexible, and customer service orientation
- Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations
- Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Complete consistent patrols of the interior and exterior of site
- Perform patient watches
- Complete incident reporting and end-of-shift reports
- Supervise and monitor guests, staff, and patients to ensure a proactive approach to incidents
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
- A copy of your immunization records [Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2]

Immunization-Record-Ontario-Paladin.pdf - Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
- Fluency in English (verbal/written) required, Fluency in French is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (extensive patrolling, restraints, etc.)
- 6+ months previous security experience is preferred
- Previous healthcare/healthcare security experience is considered an asset
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
