Site Description:
Ingredion Incorporated operates a large-scale industrial processing facility. The site includes production equipment, bulk storage, and controlled-access areas requiring perimeter patrols and strict adherence to safety standards. Security personnel protect assets, enforce site protocols, and support operational continuity.
Position: Security Guard

Status: Full Time
Hours:
Rotation 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (1830-0630hrs)
Rotation 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (1830-0630hrs)
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Posting Date: March 8th, 2026
Internal Closing Date: March 13th, 2026
External Closing Date: April 10th, 2026
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed
- Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly
- Enthusiastically conduct proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.
- Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public
- Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources.
- Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries
- Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
- Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client's staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
- Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Must wear 6-inch all-leather safety boots with ankle coverage
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
