Hours: | Monday to Friday 0730-1530/1530-2330
Overtime Method: | Ontario ESA
Payrate: | $22.61/hour

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence
- Greet, assist, and direct visitors
- Protect clients, buildings, and assets
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols (proactive and reactive)
- Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed
- Document and report all security-related events
- Investigate routine incidents
- Perform patient watches
- Enforce parking, smoking, and hospital policies
- Manage access control and keys
- Complete monthly safety inspections
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)

Immunization Form: - KHSC Immunization Forms
- Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
- Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
- Minimum 6 months of healthcare security experience preferred
- Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
- Ability to commit to full-time availability for at least 6 months
- English proficiency (oral and written) required
- Bilingualism (English/French) an asset
- 6+ months of customer service experience an asset
- Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
