Job Responsibilities:
- Begin the patrol at the designated starting point.
- Patrol each parking lot with city/UK vehicles on foot, covering all areas systematically to ensure no vehicle or section is overlooked.
- Check all vehicle doors to ensure they are locked. Record any unlocked vehicles and take note of the vehicle details (make, model, color, license plate) and lock the doors.
- Check all facility doors (entrances, exits, storage rooms, etc.) to ensure they are locked and secure.
- Report any doors that are unlocked or appear tampered with immediately to 24/7 emergency maintenance line.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Stay alert for any suspicious activities or individuals.
- Document all findings and incidents in a report each shift, including times and locations of each check.
- Complete the final patrol ensuring all areas have been thoroughly checked.
- Submit a detailed report summarizing the shift's activities, including any incidents, unlocked doors, suspicious activities, and actions taken.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work alone and be self-motivated
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of two COVID-19 vaccinations
- Minimum 1 year of security experience required
- Experience in Mobile or commercial security will be preferred
- English fluency (written and oral) required
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
- Attend 6 days of blended (virtual/in-class) pre-employment training at the Kingston Branch office
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
