Site Description: Portsmouth Olympic Harbour is located just minutes from historic Portsmouth Village and provides a peaceful park-like setting with waterfront walkways. It was built for the 1976 Olympics and continues to host Canadian Olympic Training Regattas and community events.

Hours: | Friday & Saturday - 2200-0500
Payrate: | $22.80/hour
Note: This is a seasonal position going from May 2 to September 7, 2026.

Job Description:
- Proactive & reactive security patrols
- Majority of shift will be spent conducting exterior patrols
- Response to incidents
- Lock & Secure washrooms
- Ensure no unauthorized individuals are on site after 2200
- Liaise with Paladin & the Marina Coordinator to ensure ongoing safety concerns/issues are resolved
- Assist boaters as necessary
- By-law parking enforcement
- Report writing and note taking
- Daily shift reports
- Investigate routine incidents
- Additional Duties as Assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- A personal vehicle you will have access to during the shift. There is no indoor shelter available, a vehicle is required.
- Able to stand for up to 8-12 hours per shift
- Able to complete extensive patrolling of site
- English communication (oral and written) required
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification
Valid Ontario Security License
