Job Description:  Working assigned shifts, you will be responsible for completing investigations and incident reports.  You will be expected to perform constant patrols and interact with tenants and members of the public to provide direction and promote good customer service while providing a security presence.  Respond to all emergencies and take the lead role in all incidents involving violent individuals.  You will be required to conduct arrests, enforce mall rules, and remove undesirables from the property.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enforce property standards, rules, regulations, access control procedures, and the Trespass to Property Act in a fair, safe, and professional manner.
  • Maintain a visible security presence through regular foot and vehicle patrols to ensure the safety and security of patrons, clients, and property.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, investigate incidents, respond to emergencies, de-escalate crisis situations, and provide first aid, CPR, or AED support until emergency services arrive.
  • Assist with Fire & Life Safety inspections and support emergency and law enforcement personnel as required.
  • Maintain detailed memo books and prepare clear, accurate incident and occurrence reports using company reporting systems.
  • Provide customer service, manage access and line control, assist with daily operations, and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum one (1) year of mall security or related experience, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol by foot or vehicle for extended shifts (8–12 hours) in indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions in high-stress situations, and work effectively in busy, high-traffic environments.
  • Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to obtain and provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check, Criminal Background Check, and Driver's Abstract.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work productively as part of a team.

Prerequisites:

  1. A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  2. Standard First Aid & CRP Level C Certificate
  3. Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19
  4. Must possess a valid “G” Class License
