Site Description:

Hino Motors Canada is an industrial manufacturing and assembly facility supporting large-scale production, warehousing, and distribution operations. With continuous movement of employees, contractors, vendors, and transport trucks, the facility requires structured access control, adherence to strict safety standards, and coordinated site operations to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing processes.

Status: Temporary Full Time

Position: Security Guard

Site: Hino Motors Canada

Hours: Saturday - Sunday (6AM to 6PM), Monday (6PM to 6AM)

Pay Rate: $23/hr

Posting Date: March 3rd, 2026

Internal Closing Date: March 10th, 2026

External Closing Date: March 31st, 2026

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, including employees, contractors, and commercial vehicles
  • Conduct proactive interior and exterior patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter fencing
  • Ensure all security systems and safety measures are functioning properly
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist employees and visitors during emergencies and contact appropriate emergency services when required
  • De-escalate conflicts and liaise with police, fire, and paramedic services as needed
  • Monitor shipping and receiving activity, including truck check-ins and documentation verification
  • Document incidents, policy breaches, and facility concerns accurately and thoroughly
  • Provide First Aid and medical response when required
  • Maintain professional and constructive relationships with client representatives, staff, and external partners

Prerequisites:

  • Valid Security Guard License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider
  • English fluency (oral and written) is required
  • Must wear 6-inch all-leather safety boots with ankle coverage
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Applicants who do not possess Use of Force (UOF) / Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification may opt into Paladin's certification program prior to onboarding to meet position requirements.

Please note: The UOF/MOAB certification is a pre-employment requirement and is unpaid; however, Paladin will cover the full cost of certification with a six-month commitment to the position and availability
