We are seeking a Sales Trainee to join our Platt team at our location in Twin Falls, ID!

 

Summary:
The Sales Trainee will learn branch sales operations through a series of work related assignments beginning at an entry level position. Trainees will gain practical hands-on experience as well as learn Platt's mission, vision, culture, and values. Upon successful completion of all work place assignments, the trainee will be able to apply for a sales role within the company. This Sales Trainee position will be a Non-Exempt position.

 

Essential Functions:
The individual must behave consistently with Platt's Core Competencies and focus on safety. Learn and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Gain knowledge of all aspects of the sales process including but not limited to counter sales, phone sales and outside sales. Perform all job functions within a branch including but not limited to sales, operations and consistently provide an outstanding level of customer service. Reliable and regular attendance is required.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
This position must be willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively with Platt employees, customers and vendors. Must be a quick learner and consistently display a positive attitude. Willing to assume a variety of sales roles within the company. Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately. Must be able to work flexible hour. Willing to rotate to nearby branches if needed. Must have experience with Microsoft Office and the Web.

 

Mathematical Skills:
This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in common units of measure including whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.

 

Language Skills:
Professional written and verbal communication skills must be present.

 

Reasoning Ability:
This position requires the ability to apply sound business judgment to ensure business objectives are met.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
This position requires a valid driver's license issued by the State of the position applied to with an acceptable driving record and 3 years of personal driving experience.

The work environment for this job is a combination of branch, job site/ outdoor and warehouse.
