Job Summary

The Broker Manager position is a role that identifies and works directly in the field with Broker Partners. This position will work side by side with our internal and external partners to effectively position the products and services with brokers and employers . We are looking for driven, and motivated individuals who has a winning attitude and desire to provide world class sales and service. The broker manager will develop and maintain strong broker/agent relationships with top producing brokers in order to win and grow Prisma Health's direct to employer experience.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and affinity partners to achieve growth and financial goals.

  • Develop and maintain strong broker/agent relationships with top producing brokers in order to win and grow Prisma Health's direct to employer experience

  • Understands the mechanics of self funded plans including stop loss, captives, network optimization, population health solutions, and cost containment strategies for small to mid size employers

  • An energetic, resourceful, and hands-on manager who operates effectively with minimum direction and pursues objectives and works in a collaborative manner to deliver against goals; self-starter who digs in with urgency.

  • Sets clear goals and holds self and others accountable; strives to deliver results and celebrates achievement.

  • Acts and make decisions as part of a whole; exceptional facilitator of teamwork and decision-making.

  • Develop and build relationships with brokers and agents in the South Carolina market-place

  • Identify and develop local preferred agents to support attainment of value based care membership goals

  • Cold call and leverage warm referrals to potential broker partners

  • Articulate compelling proposals to stakeholder brokers that clearly communicate the differentiated Prisma Health Experience and value based care product offering.

  • Use data and tracking to monitor sales activity throughout the course of the distribution life cycle.

  • Define and evaluate metrics for success of features.

  • Work directly in the field with identified Broker Partners.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Has worked in the self-funded commercial health insurance sector

  • Prior broker engagement or employer benefits sales management experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working at a payor in sales or account management

  • Consultative sales experience

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • SC Health Producer License is required

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • Salesforce experience preferred

  • Knowledge of employer commercial health products and market segment dynamics

  • Knowledge of components of self funded health plans including stop loss, captives and cost containment strategies for employers

  • Well established professional network, including relationships with brokers, community organizations, business leaders and other key stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Collaborative work orientation and work relationships

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to quickly establish and maintain strong broker partner relationships

  • Effectively communicate plan benefits, network and value adds

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Professional and positive demeanor

  • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of personality types

  • Identify key broker partners, understand their book of business and build compelling reason and encouragement for placement of business
