Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs diagnostic PET/CT imaging procedures and related functions.Collaborates with Medical Director and Manager on technical issues, equipment performance and QA. Accountabilities
- Performs diagnostic Pet-CT imaging procedures to include: injection of radiopharmaceutical,protocol set-up, patient posotioning, reconstruction and filming of images, network image transfers, and archiving of image data.50%
- Assists in procedure scheduling and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow.5%
- Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution and patient files.5%
- Assists with the collection of clinical data for patient follow-up and development of teaching and educational information.5%
- Provides protection of patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance.10%
- Reports all malfunctions and/or need for service to the proper company or facility.5%
- Responsible for patient data to include: printing, archiving, retrieval, network data transfers, tracking and logging of loaned data and requested outside data.5%
- Maintain current knowledge of point of care glucose testing for image quality purposes only. 10%
- Ordering of necessary office, medical, printing, and archiving media. Stays abreast of organizational, affiliate and departmental changes/updates by checking email on each shift.5%
Minimum Requirements
Associate's Degree - Nuclear medicine technology from an AMA accredited program and CT registry
2 years - nuclear medicine and PET/CT experience

Team members in this job on 11/08/2020 are grandfathered from the minimum requirements listed above. Additionally, may be grandfathered from Nuclear Medicine, PET, ARRT, or NMTCB CT Radiology Technologist Certification/Registration pending state and regulatory requirements.

SCRQSA- Radiology Quality Standards South Carolina
ARRT or NMTCB CT Radiology Technologist Certification
PET Certification preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems preferred
Bachelor degree preferred
Excellent customer skills
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
