Description
At Qualtrics, we create software that the world's best brands use to deliver exceptional frontline experiences, build high-performing teams, and design products people love. But we are more than a platform. We are the creators and stewards of the Experience Management category serving over 18,000 clients globally. Building a category takes grit, determination, and an appreciation for the unconventional—but most of all it requires close-knit, high-functioning teams with an unwavering dedication to serving our customers.
When you join one of our teams, you'll be part of a nimble group that's empowered to set ambitious goals and move fast to achieve them. Strategic risks are encouraged, and complex problems are solved by collaborating and iterating until the best solution comes to light. You won't have to look to find growth opportunities— they'll find you. From retail to government to healthcare, we're on a mission to bring humanity, connection, and empathy back to business. Join over 5,000 people across the globe who think that's work worth doing. Payroll Specialist
Why We Have This Role
As Qualtrics continues to scale globally, our payroll operations must be as innovative and reliable as our software. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to ensure our 5,000+ employees across 25 countries are supported with precision. You will sit at the intersection of people and numbers, playing a critical role in major corporate milestones like M&A integrations and the launch of our new global payroll vendor. Working closely with Finance and HR leadership, you'll help us build a world-class payroll function that thrives on accuracy and empathy. How You'll Find Success
- Meticulous Accuracy: You have a "measure twice, cut once" mentality, ensuring complex data across multiple currencies and tax laws is flawless.
- Analytical Curiosity: You don't just move data; you enjoy using Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) to find patterns, conduct audits, and identify efficiencies.
- Collaborative Communication: You bridge the gap between different time zones and departments, creating trust through clear and proactive updates.
- Entrepreneurial Initiative: You understand the desired outcome and work independently to research evolving tax regulations or solve problems before they escalate.
- Adaptability: You thrive in a transformational environment, remaining calm and confidential while navigating the "scrappy" nature of a high-growth company.
How You'll Grow
- Global Jurisdiction Expertise: Gain deep knowledge of payroll, tax, and labor laws across key APJ markets including Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, India, and Singapore.
- Systems Implementation: Participate in a major global payroll software rollout, giving you highly marketable technical implementation experience.
- M&A Exposure: Learn the complexities of corporate growth by assisting in the payroll and data integration of newly acquired companies.
Things You'll Do
- Ensure Regional Operational Excellence: Support payroll operations for the APJ region to ensure 100% timely and accurate pay cycles.
- Drive Data Integrity: Maintain the "source of truth" for all employment records and verifications to ensure seamless internal reporting.
- Optimize Compliance: Conduct detailed audits of payroll, benefits, and long-term incentives to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Support Global Transformation: Actively contribute to the implementation of our new global payroll system and M&A integrations.
- Maintain Audit Readiness: Facilitate annual internal and external audits to ensure global compliance and risk mitigation.
What We're Looking For On Your Resume
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
- Capability over Tenure: 0–2 years of experience; we highly value ambitious recent graduates with strong internship experience in HR or Finance.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel (specifically vlookups and pivot tables).
- Global Mindset: Experience or a strong interest in working with international teams and navigating diverse regulatory environments.
What You Should Know About This Team
- Collaborative Global Reach: You aren't just working in a silo; you are part of a tight-knit global team that supports every Qualtrics employee worldwide.
- High-Impact Milestones: This team is at the center of the company's biggest moves, from acquisitions to system overhauls—your work will be visible to leadership.
- Growth-Obsessed: We believe in "passing the mic" and iterating. On this team, if you are ready for a new challenge, it will find you.
