SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Regional Medical Center of San Jose is an 264 bed acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. The hospital provides a host of technologically-advanced services including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric and General Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology and services for Women. Regional holds Joint Commission advanced certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Get with the GuidelinesStroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. It is a county-designated STEMI (heart attack) Receiving Center, designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, a member of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ECMO) and is certified by The Joint Commission in Sepsis care.

SCHEDULE: 0.001 FTE (PRN-Per Diem)

 

SHIFT: As Needed

 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Under general supervision, the Clinical Dietitian directs the nutritional care of individual patients and groups for health restoration and maintenance, and prevention of disease.

Qualifications

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum:  RD with American Dietetic Association

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred:  1 year clinical experience in an acute care setting.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum:  BS in Nutrition or related field.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Minimum:  State and regulatory requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
