Mexico PSC Benefits & Statutory Compliance Specialist


Full Location: Hermosillo - MX


The Mexico PSC Benefits & Statutory Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing employee-related processes within the IMSS, INFONAVIT, and FONACOT systems. This role ensures timely and accurate administration of employee movements, contribution calculations, compliance reporting, and reconciliation of payroll-related data in accordance with Mexican labor and social security regulations. The specialist will work closely with People Solutions, Payroll, employees, external agencies, and government institutions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations while supporting employee benefit administration.

In this role you will:

IMSS / INFONAVIT / FONACOT Administration

  • Execute employee registrations, terminations, and salary modifications in the IMSS, INFONAVIT, and FONACOT portals on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Record and update employee disabilities and absences that impact IMSS employer and employee contribution calculations.
  • Determine on a bi-monthly basis the fees to Infonavit and the contributions to Afores.
  • Administer employee Fonacot credits, verifying records through the Fonacot portal
  • Monthly reconciliation of FONACOT credits

Payroll Reconciliation and Compliance

  • Validate that payroll data supports proper tracking and reconciliation of employee movements reported to IMSS.
  • Monitor and reconcile INFONAVIT credit balances, ensuring payroll deductions are correctly applied and aligned with statutory requirements.
  • Administer FONACOT credit processes, including validation through the FONACOT portal and monthly reconciliation of employee credits.

Reporting & Regulatory Compliance

  • Prepare and file the annual IMSS Job Risk Premium report in February, based on incident and risk data from the prior fiscal year.
  • Ensure all processes comply with current Mexican labor, social security, and tax regulations.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Provide backup support for the People Solutions team, employee services, compliance, and related operational activities, including special projects and process improvements, as needed.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • High proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican payroll regulations and statutory compliance requirements
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll systems and government portals. • Proven experience handling IMSS, INFONAVIT, and FONACOT processes.
  • Ability to access and navigate government portals and regulatory platforms.
  • Experience interacting directly with government agencies, officials, and regulatory representatives.
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory reviews.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Knowledge of labor and social security laws in Mexico
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage recurring deadlines and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage confidential employee information with discretion.
