We are seeking a Senior Manager Eclipse DevOps to join our Rexel USA team in Dallas, TX:

 

Summary
The Senior Manager Eclipse DevOps is responsible for driving initiatives as it relates to Eclipse architecture all while developing a team through leadership, mentoring, and providing technical guidance. This role will work act as an expert architect to ensure growth and scalability for Eclipse platform(s) while also maintaining reliable and secure applications. This role will be very “hands-on” and should be excited about digital advancements, automation, clean code, and clean data.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Act as expert architect to ensure growth and scalability for Eclipse platform(s), production reliability, and security
  • “Hands-on” with the Eclipse architecture and code
  • Grow a high-quality Development team through recruiting, coaching, and mentoring. Hold a high-quality bar for your team's work
  • Drive outcomes with other groups and leaders inside our team working on efforts including our deployment, reliability, and security
  • Own and improve developer tooling with an eye towards quality solutions, reliability, and developer efficiency
  • Maximize uptime across all applications and services. Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for service interruptions
  • Ensure that we are cost-effectively leveraging our infrastructure and plan the future needs of the business
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years' experience
  • Epicor Eclipse ERP experience; Epicor Eclipse Pick application development
  • Strong technical knowledge in J2EE technology, Java, Universe, Postgress, Unix/Linux, Scripting, Oracle, rest web services, JMS, and Shell scripting

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of DevOps and Agile concept
  • Virtualization concepts and tools like VMware
  • Strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, especially conveying complex information in an understandable manner
  • Ability to influence other key stakeholders
  • Ability to conduct formal and informal presentations in both small-and large-group settings
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical and business problems
  • Proven experience in managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and the ability to have agility to manage / change priorities
  • Ability to give good performance feedback, hold people accountable and drive results
  • Knowledge of latest design patterns, refactoring, agile, continuous integration principles, and project management methodologies
