Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintains cleaning and sanitation documentation using the Master Sanitation Schedule

· Assist with cleaning during press and packaging preventive maintenance when equipment is down and available

· Assists with removal of trash and product waste totes

· Assists with safety and food safety audit corrective actions

· Assists in monitoring infeed and outfeed systems for sources of product defect or contamination

· Assist Silo Operators with daily cleaning duties when necessary

· Aid in planning and executing long term cleaning projects

· Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of: safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation

· Other duties, as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

· High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution

· Previous janitorial/sanitation experience

· Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred

· Demonstrated ability to follow basic instructions

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

· Must be able to lift 35 - 50 pounds for 6+ hours per shift

· Must be able to lift over 50 pounds for 3+ hours with team assistance or mechanical lifting devices

· Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written word

· Must be able to make fine distinctions by sound

· Must be able to distinguish object or equipment visually
