Title: Senior Research Specialist

1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Performs specialized, technical scientific duties unique to the specific area of research associated with the work in the laboratory; provides administrative/managerial oversight of the lab operations; identifies, designs and executes research studies and experimental approaches to address research goals of the principal investigator or research program; develops strategy for obtaining funding from peer-reviewed and other sources in support of basic and translational research in conjunction with key lab personnel; may obtain independent funding. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience1. PhD and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment; or
2. Master's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment; or
3. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Cancer Biology Preferred
- Experience of working with mouse models, metabolism, epigenetics, molecular biology, etc.
- High quality first author publications demonstrating productivity and experience of working in large groups.
- Proficient in Biological Procedures, Tissue Culture
Work and Sterile Techniques
- Experience in screening, sequencing, flow cytometry,
etc.
