SAIC is looking for an ACAS Systems Administrator to support the US Navy's Computer Defense Network (CND) in North Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities include:

  • Primarily accountable for providing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Nessus & Security Center) to Afloat networks. 
  • Execute policy development and engineer upgrade solutions for Afloat vessels and maintain system compliance within ESS technology area. 
  • Configure & validate secure system & physical controls; test security products & systems to detect security vulnerabilities. 
  • Duties may also include, but are not limited to, deployment & administration of ePO, ESS/HBSS advanced policy tuning, deployment & administration of Security Center, network connectivity troubleshooting, & IV&V.
  • Tasking includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, metrics collection, maintenance support, and the timely entry of communication and tasking into the ticket management tool (ITSM/Helix).

Travel: Anticipated travel is up to 10%, both CONUS and OCONUS.  Candidate must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; years of related experience with a GED/HS degree may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in relevant technical field, to include:
    • Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C5ISR requirements.
    • Have experience conducting analyses of log files from a myriad of sources, to include individual host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, and intrusion detection system logs to identify & remediate possible threats to network security.
    • Have experience utilizing DISA STIGs to harden and secure Windows or Linux systems.
    • Knowledge of the RMF process and supporting deliverables is a plus.
    • Have experience maintaining, and/or deploying ACAS systems in a DoD environment.
    • Experience with design, deployment and/or sustainment of HBSS or ACAS systems in large (15,000+) node environments is a plus.
    • Have design, testing and validation experience on DoD-deployed systems and a solid understanding of current operating system security design best practices.
    • Be self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
    • Be comfortable with the creation of in-depth, accurate technical documentation. 

 Required clearance:

  • Active Secret Clearance and have eligibility for a Top Secret Clearance.  Higher clearances accepted.

Required certifications:

  • Required Current Security Certification: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, OR GCIH.
  • Desired OS Certification:  A Microsoft certification (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD), or Linux Variant, VMWare, MS SQL, Active Directory, HBSS, ACAS, SPLUNK, Server+, or similar.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with administering Engineering Solutions of Endpoint Security System (ESS)/Host Based Security System (HBSS).
  • Understanding and experience with Linux systems to include administration, installation, configuration, optimization, backup & recovery.
  • Knowledge of CND ashore and afloat systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the RMF process and supporting deliverables is a plus.
