SAIC is seeking a seasoned administrative assistant on the Horizon Program to support the U. S. Space Force (USSF) in their efforts to develop and deploy next-generation and advanced capability space systems. Under the Special Programs (SP) Directorate at the Space Systems Command (SSC) in El Segundo, the position provides administrative support to the Space Warfighting Division executive office. Ideal candidates will have a strong office management background, organizational skills and the ability to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short-term work suspense and rapidly evolving customer needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs routine and non-routine tasks including special projects. Responsible for scheduling and arranging for meetings, for researching and securing requested information, and for researching, compiling and proofing of various reports. Takes and/or transcribes classified, confidential or technical information, takes and distributes meeting minutes, order supplies, answers phones, responds to customer inquiries, and other office administrative duties as required by the customer. Interacts with other support staff and departments to gather, supply, or coordinate information.
Minimal supervision. Work may be done without established procedures.
Wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of importance to the function of the department or which may be a sensitive nature.
- Requires High School Diploma and minimum 7 years+ of related experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word) required.
- Requires an active TS/SCI clearance willingness to consent to a polygraph.
- Experience with military and government civilian personnel preferred.
