SAIC is under contract to support Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) Code 56770 and their support as the ISEA and Technical Design Agent to the Electronic Harbor Security System (EHSS). The EHSS project directly supports the Navy's mission to protect U.S. Navy assets in port from waterborne attacks. The EHSS is an integrated system composed of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) hardware and software components designed for continuous use. The EHSS has been installed at over twenty (20) locations worldwide and is being installed at additional sites and upgraded at existing sites during the period of performance.
SAIC is seeking a CAD/Design Engineer to support EHSS project related activities. In this role, you will be working with EHSS Technical Leads and other staff in the execution of directed activities. This role is ON-SITE located in San Diego, CA. Must be local to area.
JOB DUTIES:
• Create mechanical, electrical and cable drawing packages.
• Create assembly, installation and layout drawing packages.
• Create network diagrams with serial and IP connections.
• Create Build IRD and IDP's per NAVWAR standards.
• Incorporate site redlines and create As-Built packages from install notes.
• Create system drawing packages from written inputs and diagrams from engineering and ISEA teams.
• Update and modify drawings from Engineering change orders.
• Use integrated Excel-AutoCAD connections to manage technical data in CAD packages.
• Work with the engineering team to create schedules and prioritize drafting efforts.
• Review other drafting efforts for review before delivery.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance at start
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance after start
- AutoCAD and SolidWorks proficiently required.
- Experience with ASME drawing standards.
- Experience in C4I System environments.
- Experience with NAVWAR/SPAWAR Drafting standards.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Familiar with Drawing Requirements Manual (DRM) is a plus but not required.
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus but not required.
