SAIC is seeking a Calibration Lab Logistician to support the US Navy at NSWC Crane, IN.. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive and review calibration requests from Calibration Custodian 

• Request and report calibration quotes from vendors 

• Coordinate retrieval of equipment from Calibration Custodian 

• Manage outbound shipping logistics for calibration services 

• Receive and inspect returned equipment following calibration services 

• Obtain Calibration Certification for Metrology Engineer to perform technical review and approval 

• Upload finalized calibration data and certification records into the calibration management system following Metrology review 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements 

• Collaborate effectively as part of a team, working closely with other support entities 

• Coordinate efforts with technical and professional personnel on matters affecting equipment performance, test objectives, and calibration/certification reliability and effectiveness 

• Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience.  Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.  Must total 5 or more years of experience in logistics tasking related to the position.

• No clearance required to start however must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
