SAIC is seeking talented Chief System Engineer to support NSWC Crane Hypersonic programs.
Note: This is a part time hybrid position requiring candidate to be in office approximately 1-2 days per week.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates will review and evaluate Technical Data Packages; participate in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs) Design and Model Reviews; and assist with various systems engineering activities including:
- Concept of operations formulation
- Requirements definition
- Technical analyses and trade studies
- System architecting, analysis and design
- System performance analysis
- Interface management
- Systems integration planning
- Validation and verification activities
- Drawing and Model Review
- Preparing engineering plans and process instructions
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and at least 18 years' experience; Masters and 16 years experience; Phd or JD 15 years experience.
- Experience designing prototypes or ensuring that design meets functional tests from procurement to validation/verification
- Interim clearance required to start with the ability to obtain Secret Clearance SAIC will sponsor the clearance
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in product design, procurement, or production floor engineering
- MBSE experience
- Experience with Cameo
- Degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering
