SAIC is seeking a Training Specialist located at Camp Smith in Hawaii to support the USPACOM J752 Training and Analysis Branch to lead, design, and execute joint-focused education and training programs for US PACOM HQ, ensuring they align with the Commander's intent and J7 strategic goals while improving equitable access for staff. It also serves as the primary liaison to academia, industry, and Joint Component Commands to identify and coordinate educational opportunities and facilitate engagement between external experts and internal stakeholders.
JOB DUTIES:
- Lead design, implementation, and management of joint-focused education and training programs for US PACOM HQ, including needs assessment and integration into the headquarters training plan.
- Serve as primary liaison to academia, industry, and Joint Component Commands (PACFLT, PACAF, USARPAC, MARFORPAC) to identify emerging educational opportunities, coordinate training, and facilitate engagement between external experts and internal stakeholders.
- Align programs and partnerships with Commander's intent and J7 strategic goals, while promoting equitable access to training and removing administrative and structural barriers for joint staff.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and ten (10)+ years of relevant experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with external entities, specifically in academia and private industry.
- Experience managing complex programs independently while reporting to a centralized program manager.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required to draft training announcements, coordinate across service lines, and present initiatives to senior leadership.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Must be a current US Citizen.
